The Glory of the Rocket Gang (also known as Glory of the Rocket Gang) was officially released in Japan on April 18, 2025. This exciting new Pokémon card set puts the spotlight on Team Rocket and introduces additional Trainer’s Pokémon to the mix. The booster pack artwork puts the spotlight on Giovanni and Mewtwo.
The release was met with massive demand. Buying a box wasn’t as easy as walking into a store, you had to enter a lottery just for a chance to purchase one. Even then, convenience stores limited sales to just 3 packs per person. To make it fair for younger fans, some stores waited until 3:30pm to start selling, giving kids a chance to grab a few packs after school.
I managed to get my hands on just 9 packs, but here are some of the highlights I pulled!
