I have fond memories of playing the first generation of Pokémon when it was released in Europe in 1999. I was fortunate enough to be gifted a copy of Pokémon Red for Christmas.
When Premium Bandai Japan revealed in September that they would be releasing Pokémon salt and pepper shakers based on the gym statues that appear at Pewter Gym I knew it was my calling to pre-order them.
The salt and pepper gym statues are a replica of the aforementioned statues seen in the game, with the unknown Pokémon sitting on the top being separable. The shaker set costs 4,620 yen ($39.19 USD) and is made out of bone china with a height of 100mm.
