Japan’s second-largest conveyor belt sushi chain, Kura Sushi, has partnered with Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece series for a special collaboration.
The featured sushi collaboration plates include Gum-Gum Fruit Ice Cream Monaka, Franky’s Energy Cola, and Tony Tony Chopper’s Rumble Ball.
We also ordered a variety of dishes from the regular menu, including Otsukimi (Moon-viewing) meatball with egg, Iberian pork gunkan, beef kalbi with savory sauce, extra-fatty Iberian pork, gratin-style seared shrimp with mayonnaise, seared pork with cheese, fried corn, fried tuna, and several other items.
The table has a slot for sliding your used plates. After inserting 5 plates, a mini-game starts on the table’s screen. Winning the game rewards the customer with a small prize, such as capsule toys or other collectibles. This time, the prize was a random One Piece magnet with over 100 different designs to collect.
Additionally, lucky customers can win special prizes by meeting certain criteria. Starting September 6, the first 300,000 customers who spend 2,500 yen or more will receive a clear file.
From September 20, the first 300,000 customers will get a postcard for every 2,500 yen spent.
Beginning October 4, the first 300,000 customers will be rewarded with a One Piece notebook for 2,500 yen or more purchases.
Finally, from October 18, the first 300,000 customers who spend 2,500 yen or more will receive a B5 illustration.
